War Escalates: Iranian Drones Strike Kuwait Airport, Loud Blasts Reported in Dubai

Iran has intensified attacks across the Gulf region as the US–Israel–Iran conflict continues to escalate. Iranian drones reportedly targeted Kuwait International Airport, hitting fuel storage facilities and causing infrastructure damage. Kuwaiti authorities said air-defence systems intercepted several drones, though the attack disrupted airport operations for a short time.

At the same time, explosions were reported in downtown Dubai, with residents hearing loud blasts and seeing smoke rising over parts of the city. Officials later described the incident as a “minor drone incident,” likely linked to Iranian attacks and interception by UAE air-defence systems.

Reports say a drone or debris from an intercepted drone fell near Dubai International Airport, injuring at least four people and causing minor fires in nearby buildings before emergency services brought the situation under control.

In Kuwait, another drone strike hit a residential building, injuring two people and causing structural damage, according to defence officials.

The attacks are part of a wider wave of Iranian missile and drone strikes targeting US bases, oil facilities, and strategic infrastructure across the Gulf, including Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Several countries have activated air-defence systems and emergency alerts for residents as the conflict spreads beyond Israel and Iran.

The escalation has already affected global oil markets and international flights, raising fears that the conflict could destabilize the wider Middle East if attacks continue.
